Naomi Campbell will showcase her stunning clothes and runway walk at London’s V&A this week in a new exhibition. The institution claims this exhibition is the first of its kind dedicated to modeling.
“Naomi: In Fashion” covers the career of one of fashion’s most known faces, focusing on the major looks she has modeled as well as her impact and action.
The exhibition, which opens to the public on Saturday, includes gorgeous gowns, towering heels, and a display of Campbell’s fashion photographs and magazine covers, coordinated by former British Vogue editor Edward Enninful.
Many exhibitions have focused on fashion designers and photographers, often overlooking the model,” stated Sonnet Stanfill, senior curator of fashion at the V&A.

“And Naomi Campbell’s remarkable 40-year career shows that she’s a role model in the field, because not only is she collaborating with the best designers and photographers, magazines in the sector, but also she uses her platform to highlight the careers of emerging creatives as well.”
Naomi Campbell, 54, began modeling as a youngster and has worked for major brands such as Versace, Chanel, Prada, and Dolce & Gabbana, among others. She has also promoted African designers.
She was the first Black model to appear on the covers of French Vogue, Time, and American Vogue’s September issue.
The exhibition features clothing from renowned fashion designers including Gianni Versace and Azzedine Alaïa, as well as African designers like Kenneth Ize and Thebe Magugu.
The exhibition showcases Naomi Campbell’s sparkling Dolce & Gabbana dress. She wore it on her final day of community service at a New York garbage depot. This occurred after she pled guilty to reckless attack for throwing a phone at her housekeeper during a dispute over a pair of jeans.
Additionally, the exhibition features the blue platform shoes she slipped on during Vivienne Westwood’s Autumn-Winter 1993 show.
The exhibition, which runs until April 6, 2025, features textual and audio commentary from Naomi Campbell reflecting on significant milestones in her career, as well as a makeshift catwalk for people wishing to emulate her runway walk.
