What did Pat Cummins say about his record hat-trick?
Cummins joked that he recalled his hat-trick this time and thought it was weird to grab two in a row.
Yeah, I remember that one (hat trick). unbelievable. I’ve played 100-odd games for Australia and now have two in a row.
Afghanistan scored 148 runs for six wickets on a difficult surface. They appeared to be on track for an even larger total when Cummins and Company slowed them down. Cummins claimed it was a good bowling performance in the end.
“I thought they batted well.” But I also thought we were restricting the possibilities. They ran well. Overall, a solid bowling performance. Not our cleanest day on the field. “I am happy with the total,” Cummins remarked.
Australia needs a win to ensure that they and India advance to the semifinals.
