What India Captain Rohit Sharma Said After the Match
Cricket Match India versus England: “It was quite wonderful to win this game. We worked hard as a team. To win this game in that manner required an enormous effort from everyone.
We did an excellent job adapting to the conditions. We faced a difficulty and adapted and did an excellent job of handling the situation.
If the players follow the rules, everything falls into place. We were quite pleased with how we came through.
At one point, 1450-150, and as the game progressed, we predicted another 25 runs following that partnership. I can mentally set the aim, but I don’t want to tell anyone, especially the hitters.
They’re all instinctual players. I felt 170 was an excellent pitch. Axar and Kuldeep are gun spinners.
It was difficult to play some strokes, and the pressure was on them as well, but they remained calm and understood what to bowl,” India captain Rohit Sharma told Cricbuzz after the match.

What England Captain Jos Buttler Said After The Match
India versus England: “India outperformed us. We gave them 20-25 runs too much. They performed effectively on a tough surface.
India deserved to win. India deserves recognition for its very different situation (compared to 2022). They played an excellent game of cricket.
With the rain, I didn’t anticipate the circumstances to alter significantly. I doubt it truly did. They out-bowled us. They received an above-par score. I don’t think the toss was the only difference between the teams.
They have some great spinners. In perspective, Moeen should have been dismissed in that innings given the manner the spin was bowling.
We are quite proud of everyone’s efforts. We stayed together but fell short when it counted the most,” England captain Jos Buttler told Cricbuzz after the match.
