South Africa’s Quinton de Kock (39), Tristan Stubbs (31), and Heinrich Klaasen (52) all hit crucial runs.
But India’s Hardik Pandya claimed three wickets. Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah each claimed two wickets, with Axar Patel picking up one wicket.
After winning the toss at Barbados’ Kensington Oval on June 29 in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final versus South Africa, India secured 176/7 runs and set South Africa a target of 177 runs for the chase. India has scored the highest total in a T20 World Cup final cricket match.

While there was no rain delay between the toss and the start of play, the match may be delayed in the middle due to rain. In such cases, the last match can be extended by up to 120 minutes, with a reserve day scheduled for June 30.
