Damaged signal stations and wires created widespread destruction hours before the Paris Olympics 2024 opened. The government and French railway operator announced that high-speed TGV French railway service should be back to normal by Monday.
Patrice Vergriete, the minister of transportation, told reporters on Saturday that “the complete restoration to normal is expected for Monday.”
The deployment of police helicopters, 250 staff, and 50 monitoring drones has increased the network’s security, according to Vergriete.
Security concerns have been created by the attacks at the Summer Olympics 2024. The Summer Olympics 2024 is the world’s biggest athletic event and is being held in Paris, the French capital. The authorities have not yet discovered the criminals despite an ongoing investigation.

“Who bears the blame? It’s too early to tell if it came from overseas or from within, Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin told France 2 TV.
As of now, everyone has yet to take direct credit for the extensive disruption.
SNCF Struggles to Restore Services Amidst Sabotage
The railway firm SNCF reported that it had made headway toward a partial restoration of services. However, there were numerous postponements and cancellations.
According to SNCF, its employees worked through the night in bad weather to improve traffic to Paris from the north, east, and west. On the morning of Saturday, the eastern high-speed French railway was operating normally again.
According to SNCF, “seven out of ten trains on the north, Brittany, and southwest high-speed lines will run with delays of one to two hours on average.”
The SNCF stated that all transportation for Paris Olympics 2024 teams and authorized personnel will proceed according to schedule despite the difficulties.
The planned actions that occurred early on Friday resulted in the cutting and burning of fiber optic cables. These cables run alongside the railway and provide safety information to train drivers.
A person close to the investigation informed the AFP news agency that the attacks were meticulously planned and carried out by the same organization.
Approximately 250,000 passengers were affected by SNCF on Friday.
Many travelers were heading to Paris for the opening of the Summer Olympics 2024. Some were planning to travel in the opposite direction to begin their summer holidays.
