Konstantia Dimoglidou, a police spokesperson, texted CNN that they are removing the body to take it to nearby Rhodes for post-mortem and identification.

The doctor did not bring his phone with him, so the police, fire department, coast guard, and volunteers have been looking for him on land and at water for days. Reports that he interacted with residents while out for a walk had also prompted police investigation.

The Pedi region of the island, where a lady claimed to have seen him on Wednesday, was reportedly the focus of the search effort on Friday. That region is not far from the beach where the body was discovered.

In a statement, Dr. Claire Bailey, Michael Mosley’s wife, said, “We had an incredibly lucky life together.” “We were so happy married and loved each other so much.”

“She claimed her husband took the wrong route, performed an incredible climb, and collapsed where the thorough rescue team couldn’t easily see him.”

The renowned TV doctor is famous in the UK for documentaries such as “Trust Me, I’m A Doctor” on the BBC and “Michael Mosley: Who Made Britain Fat?” on Channel 4.

According to PA Media, Michael Mosley gave a special version of his BBC Radio 4 show “Just One Thing” at the literary Hay Festival in Wales last month with his spouse, with whom he co-hosts theater tours.
