Governor Tim Walz Criticize After Saying We can not afford 4 more years at Rally

Governor Tim Walz faces backlash after stating we can not afford 4 more years during a rally, sparking criticism from political opponents.

Governor Tim Walz, the Democratic nominee for vice president, told Pennsylvania rally attendees on Saturday, “We can’t afford four more years of this,” prompting a barrage of jeers on social media.

On Saturday afternoon in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Governor Tim Walz was talking about gun violence when he was interrupted by a woman in the audience who looked like she needed water.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, Walz, interrupted his address to draw attention to the protestor.

“Things like we did in Minnesota, to have improved background checks and red flag laws, to get weapons out of there, to make a difference,” Governor Tim Walz said.

“And in a few weeks, I will still use my guns to hunt pheasants. We need water. Could you please check on him for us?” The candidate went on, pointing at the guest.

After around two minutes, the Democrat refocused on the contest and attacked former President Trump and his running mate, JD Vance.

“I’ll bring her home here fast, folks: Look, Kamala Harris got it clear these guys want to instil fear,” Governor Tim Walz said. They try to tell you that it’s just a fact of life and that you should move on. This is how things are.”

“[Harris] simply said that it doesn’t have to be this way,” he stated. This isn’t how things have to be. This cannot continue for four more years.”

Governor Tim Walz then talked about Project 2025, which the Trump team has continuously denied involvement with.

When Walz mentioned “four more years” of an issue, he might have been referring to gun violence or Trump’s language. Still, because of the uncertainty in his statement, conservative commenters attacked the governor of Minnesota on social media for apparently criticizing the Biden administration.

“Dude, is running for Trump now?” Rita Panahi, a commentator, wrote about X.

To which Donald Trump Jr. joked, “I’m with Him/Tim.”

The Trump presidential campaign’s X account, Trump War Room, posted, “WALZ FINALLY TELLS THE TRUTH: ‘We can’t afford four more years’ of Kamala Harris.”
