Those lucky to have previously seen the action report that Scott remains sharp.
Drew Taylor of The Wrap said: “Relax, Romans. It’s the kind of epic cinematic achievement that only Ridley Scott could muster in #Gladiator2. It just works in every way. Its ability to bring back the old while combining something fresh gives me major #Maverick vibes. Filmmaking of a famous artist that is bold and forceful.”

“Gladiator II is Ridley Scott’s best film since The Martian,” critic Scott Menzel declared. It is an enormous, gory, and brilliant action show that expands on the legacy of the first one. There are many great battles in the movie, along with stunning set pieces. Paul Mescal excels. Here, Denzel Washington appears to be having the time of his life as he eats up the landscape quite a bit.”
Ridley Scott returns to the Colosseum to show the world that he’s still got it. FilmSpeak’s Griffin Schiller was among several who appreciated Washington’s performance.
Unbelievable following Gladiator II. It is a powerful Shakespearean story about power, futility, and hope within a collapsing system. In a jaw-dropping Machiavellian performance, Denzel FEASTS. What a wonderful image.”
“GLADIATOR II is a true epic and Ridley Scott’s best in years,” Erik Anderson continued. Paul Mescal is a deserving successor to the throne, a fantastic action star without compromising his independent toughness. Denzel Washington never overacts; he eats up every word and costume.”
You’ll be amused, according to The Nerds of Color. Gladiator 2 is unique, breathtaking, and full of action. Sir Ridley demonstrates that no one else is as skilled at epics as he is! You should attend this in the most significant arena that is feasible.
